In the last five NASCAR Winston Cup races at North Carolina Speedway, the winner has come from 21st or deeper in the field. Last season, #17-Matt Kenseth won the Subway 400 from the 25th position and #10-Johnny Benson won the Pop Secret 400 from 26th.
