Fukuyama became the first Japanese driver to compete in a Winston Cup event when he made his debut in September at Dover, Del. “Even though I have been racing for 25 years, this is my first experience with a full schedule of stock car racing,” Fukuyama said. “The two Winston Cup races I did last year allow me to get used to racing in America – the competition and the feel of the car.” Fukuyama will make his debut this season in the #66 Ford in Sunday’s race at Las Vegas.
