The NASCAR Winston Cup Series will return to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel’s Grand Ballroom in New York City on Friday, Dec. 5. Awards will total approximately $17 million and will be presented to the 2003 NASCAR Winston Cup champion and other eligible drivers. This year’s Raybestos Rookie of the Year will also be honored at the prestigious black-tie dinner celebration. No word on television plans for the banquet as of yet. The 2002 banquet was televised on TNT.(5-29-2003)
