UPDATE: Boris Said, who will drive the #01 Chevy in the Bud Shootout (Feb. 7), joined Joe Nemechek and the U.S. Army team in Thursday’s final day of testing at Daytona International Speedway. “The goal was to get out there to feel the bumps, to feel the air and to just get a good handle of the track,” commented Said, who earned a spot in the Bud Shootout by qualifying on the pole when he drove the 01 Army Car in last year’s road race in Sonoma, CA. “This (superspeedway racing) is all new to me. The seat time I got today was valuable. Now I get to go home and think about it for a few weeks. I can’t wait to come back here and jump in the U.S. Army car for the Bud Shootout. That will be a dream come true.”(US Army Racing PR)(1-12-2004)
