Dale Earnhardt Jr. admitted on “Larry King Live” on Monday that he’d like to drive the No. 3 car made famous by his late father some day. “I think driving that number is something that I’d love to do, I’d love to get behind the number three car and maybe be in the driver’s seat, but it’s something I’ll do later in my career, if ever,” Earnhardt told a caller on the national TV show. “It’s just right now I have got to concentrate on the Budweiser number eight and winning championships.”(Roanoke Times)(2-26-2004)
