Truex Jr. wins at Dover when Wallace runs out of gas:

#8-Martin Truex Jr. didn’t so much win Saturday’s Stacker2 200 at Dover International Speedway as the lead was passed to him. #23-Kenny Wallace, whose team thought he could run the 200-mile race with one gas stop, instead lost the lead and the race when he ran out of gas with 12 of 200 laps remaining, handing the lead to Truex, who was running second at the time. Truex secured the victory under caution as #60-Greg Biffle, who was running second, also ran out of gas, and #9-Mark Martin, who was fourth, spun on the final lap. “This was a great day for the home team,” said Truex, who hails from nearby New Jersey [45 minutes North of where Jayski is from]. “We had a really good car to start, we worked on it and never gave up. I’m real proud of these guys. We’ve had the best car a lot of times in the past 10 weeks and haven’t had a chance to show it. We got to show it today.” The win was Truex’s fifth Busch Series victory of the season, but his first since May 23 at Nazareth. He extended his lead in the championship standings to 152 over rookie #5-Kyle Busch. #25-Mike McLaughlin finished second, pole winner #38-Kasey Kahne third, #00-Jason Leffler was fourth and #27-Johnny Sauter completed the top five. The race was slowed five times by caution for 18 laps. There were seven lead changes among four drivers.(ThatsRacin.com)
