Kerry Earnhardt tested for Dale Earnhardt Inc. last Wednesday at Kentucky Speedway and will return again this week to gather additional engine and chassis data. DEI’s Michael Waltrip did not finish the first two races this season, once because of component problems, the other time because of an oil system problem. Vice president Richie Gilmore says development continues on DEI’s in-house chassis. Four cars with the new chassis should be in the organization’s rotation soon.(FoxSports/Sporting News)(3-14-2005)
