#21-Ricky Rudd says he and the Wood Brothers have not gotten to the point of discussion about 2006. Rudd’s three-year deal with the Woods is due for evaluation this season, and results so far have been disappointing. Rudd sounded sanguine [cheerfully confident; optimistic] about the team’s performance overall. The cars have practiced well at most stops and have qualified well at several stops, “but we need to work on staying out of wrecks,” said Rudd, who will make his 853rd career start, 766th consecutive, in Sunday’s race here.(Speed Channel)(6-11-2005)
