Kerry Earnhardt has been selected to drive the #73 CU National Mortgage Chevrolet for Red Cactus Racing during the NASCAR Busch Series race at Watkins Glen on August 12. CU National Mortgage is a subsidiary of US Mortgage Corp. based in Pine Brook, NJ. Despite being a former full-time driver in the series, this will be Earnhardt’s first attempt to compete in a road course race. CU National Mortgage and US Mortgage Corp. are making their debuts in NASCAR as sponsors this year. Earnhardt will also drive the #73 Red Cactus Salsa Chevrolet for Red Cactus Racing during the Busch Series event at Chicagoland Speedway on July 9. Red Cactus Racing owner Dan Griffin says he expects the driver and team to be a great fit. Red Cactus Racing enters its second season running limited NASCAR Busch Series races. Red Cactus is scheduled to compete in 15 NBS events in 2005, as well as one NEXTEL Cup event [Watkins Glen]. Red Cactus Salsa is the primary sponsor of Red Cactus Racing.
