Wypall Wipers Launches Busch Series Crew Chief Challenge Contest:

Beginning this weekend at Daytona International Speedway, Wypall Wipers will expand their Crew Chief Challenge program to the Busch Series garage, continuing to recognize the men behind the machines. After each of the remaining Busch Series companion events, Wypall Wipers spokesmen Robbie Reiser and Tony Eury Sr., will pick the crew chief they thought stood out among the competition. The Crew Chief of the Race will receive $500. At the end of the season, the crew chief with the most weekly wins will receive $3,000 and be crowned the Wypall Wipers Crew Chief of the Year. With a successful Crew Chief of the Year program in progress on the Nextel circuit, Wypall Wipers felt it was only appropriate to extend their Crew Chief Challenge to the Busch Series as well. “Busch Series racing is top-notch, second to none,” said Jan Spencer, president of WYPALL Wipers. “The time, the preparation and decision making that goes into each Busch Series event deserves to be recognized. We’re excited about extending our program to the Busch garage and spotlighting the men who run the show on Saturday.”
“Busch races have a unique set of challenges to them,” said Robbie Reiser. “The races don’t have as many laps, so it’s a lot tougher to recover from mistakes. The teams don’t have as many sets of tires to use, so they need to be careful with the timing of their pit stops. There’s a lot that goes into each team’s strategy and that’s going to make it fun to single out a crew chief for doing the best job.”
“This is going to be a really exciting contest,” said Tony Eury Sr. “The guys in the Busch Series are hungry and out to prove themselves each week. They put on a great show and I’m glad that we can reward them.” More info at wypall.com.(SMC 500)(7-1-2005)
