UPDATE: Unilever Foods has announced that Erin Crocker will make her long-anticipated Busch Series debut under the lights of Richmond International Raceway on September 9, 2005, driving the #6 Country Crock Dodge Charger. The 24-year old Crocker, who some have coined as NASCAR’s answer to rising IRL female star Danica Patrick, has received a great deal of media attention over the last couple of months. As Patrick made headlines after finishing fourth in the Indianapolis 500, Crocker began making headlines of her own after winning the pole and leading 28 laps in her first ARCA RE/MAX Series race and first career stock car race at Nashville Superspeedway in March. In addition to running five ARCA races this season, where she earned two pole awards and posted three top-fives and four top-10’s with 86 laps led, Crocker drove a partial schedule in the Silver Crown Series in a car from Kasey Kahne Motorsports. Crocker is scheduled to run three NASCAR Busch Series races in the #6 Hungry DriversT Dodge this season with Unilever Foods primary sponsoring brands, Ragu, Hellmann’s and Country Crock including events at Richmond, Dover International Speedway and Kansas Speedway.(919 Marketing/Hungry Drivers Program PR)(9-3-2005)
