Veteran crew chief Ted Kennedy announced Friday afternoon that his plans are to continue to serve as the car chief on the #92 Front Row Motorsports Nextel Cup Series team for the 2006 season with driver Chad Chaffin despite rumors flowing that Kennedy will join Michael Waltrip Racing in association with FitzBradshaw Racing next year in the Busch Series. “I’m not sure how the rumor was started, but I plan on staying with Front Row Motorsports and driver Chad Chaffin as we intend to put together a competitive package for the Nextel Cup Series in 2006.” Kennedy, who spent the latter part of the 2005 Nextel Cup Series season with Front Row Motorsports, owned by Bob Jenkins also stated “At this time, I don’t forsee me heading to another organization.”(Ted Kennedy Enterprises PR/Catchfence)
UPDATE: been told a rep at Front Row Motorsports that Mike Steurer is the crew chief of the #92 team and will be in 2006 also.(12-2-2005)
