Mike Wallace confirmed that he will drive the #59 HT Motorsports Dodge owned by Jim Harris in the Truck Series season opener at Daytona on February 17th as well as the second season race at California. “Yesterday we signed on to drive Jim Harris’ #59 Truck for the first two races of the season” said Team ML driver Mike Wallace. “We tested the truck in Daytona, and look forward to a great run there and at California.” This puts Wallace in two of the three NASCAR top series season opening races at Daytona. He will also drive the #09 Miccosukee Gaming & Resorts Dodge in the Nextel Cup Series race. Will Wallace drive more races in the #59 truck this season? “Right now all I can tell you is that I will drive Daytona and California, and we are focused on those two races” said Wallace. “Beyond that will be discussed in the future.”(MotorsportsLounge.com), no word on what happened with former driver Robert Pressley, Michael Ritch tested the truck at Daytona last weekend.(1-23-2006)
UPDATE: The #59 HT Motorsports Dodge, driven by Mike Wallace will team up with sponsor M Select performance engine parts by Melling for the Truck Series Daytona 250 on February 17th, 2006. The title sponsor represents Melling’s performance line of automotive and truck parts.
