Kevin Hamlin said he hopes Chip Ganassi Racing can put him in its #42 Busch car later this season. Hamlin is under contract to Ganassi as a development driver but hasn’t raced this season. “The plan was to put together another ride for me, and Casey [Mears has] been running it,” Hamlin said. “They’re working on getting some funding put together for the 42 car this year, and then, hopefully, run it full time next year.
