Mike Skinner said Saturday that he has talked with Todd Bodine to clear the air over their last-lap incident in last week’s Truck Series race at Nashville. Bodine bumped Skinner to take the lead on the first lap of a green-white-checkered finish. Skinner then crashed Bodine on the final lap as Johnny Benson sped by both of them for the victory. We talked,” Skinner said. “Everything is going to be all right. Two wrongs never make a right. I think he was wrong doing what he did. I was probably wrong doing what I did. We’ll go to Bristol [next week] and go race, forget about last week.” Skinner said he plans on running in the trucks next year. “There’s been some [Cup] conversation, but my intent is to stay in a Craftsman truck with Toyota on it and we’ve got their word that is what they’re going to do,” Skinner said. “We don’t have a contract yet but we do have their word and they have been very honorable people. “There is a better chance of that happening than not. I enjoy working with Bill Davis and the whole race team. We’ll just kind of see.” (scenedaily.com)(8-20-2006)
