Officials at Robert Yates Racing confirmed Wednesday that Jerry Pitts, crew chief on the Busch Series #90 Ford, has left the team. Skip Eyler has joined RYR to oversee the team until a permanent crew chief for driver Stephen Leicht and the #90 is found. Eyler comes to the team from Richard Childress Racing, where he is best known for working with driver Sarah Fisher during her brief stock car career. He will assume his interim role beginning with Friday’s Busch series race at Bristol.(Sporting News)(8-24-2006)
