Bill Davis Racing has secured its Nextel Cup future with Toyota as manufacturer and Jeremy Mayfield and Dave Blaney as drivers, and now the team is working on fielding a car in the NASCAR Busch Series. Davis said Friday he’d like to field two cars in Busch but is currently in discussions with a sponsor for one Camry in 2007. “We have got some Busch discussions going on,” Davis said. “We would like to do that, if the right possibility presents itself.” Who would drive the car is unclear, depending on what the potential sponsor wants. Davis said Mayfield and Blaney could split time in a car, or the two could share a seat with a younger driver.(SceneDaily.com)(8-25-2006)
