On Sunday’s SPEED/tv’s Speed Report, it was reported by Bob Dilner that there were many candidates for the vacant seat for the third Michael Waltrip Racing team among them; Johnny Benson.(10-14-2007)
UPDATE: SPEED/tv’s Trackside Live, talked to both Johnny Benson and Michael Waltrip about the #00 in 2008. Johnny Benson expressed interest in driving for Michael Waltrip Racing. Michael Waltrip said he was interested in having someone work with development drivers Michael McDowell and Josh Wise in 2008.(10-19-2007)
