UPDATE: Championship-winning racer Shigeaki Hattori has founded Hattori Racing Enterprises, HRE, a race team designed for developing young, talented drivers. Hattori, who earned the Formula Toyota title in Japan in 1994, will see HRE compete in its first race this weekend at Rockingham Speedway in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, the Carolina 500. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Justin Marks will drive the #01 AW North Carolina Camry in his second ARCA race this season. Marks will work with a familiar crew from the Germain Racing stable, including crew chief Mike Abner. The Hattori Racing Enterprises’ #01 AW North Carolina Camry is a joint effort between HRE and Germain Racing. HRE has plans which include more ARCA RE/MAX Series races this year.
