Jeff Thousand returns to being a”road warrior” as he will serve as #2-Kurt Buschs car chief for the 2009 season. Thousands racing career dates back to the short tracks of the Midwest as he was a member of Rusty Wallaces successful operation during the late 70s and early 80s. Thousand followed Wallace to the Cup ranks after Penske Racings NASCAR team started in 1991, moving from St. Louis to reunite with Wallace for the 1993 season.
