With a little faith and some K-LOVE, Michael McDowell and his #98 Curb/Agajanian Ford are preparing to compete in Saturday night’s Bank of America 500 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. McDowell will bring the K-LOVE car to the track for the eighth time this season. McDowell most recently piloted the #98 K-LOVE Ford last weekend at the Talladega Superspeedway where the team finished 31st. The team plans to go the distance again at Charlotte Motor Speedway. ‘We have had a lot of support from K-LOVE and all their listeners this season,’ said McDowell. ‘They have been a great partner of our PPR team because we all believe in the their positive, encouraging message. K-LOVE is a family friendly radio station and is safe for all ears, and this is important for me and my family. I ‘m proud to represent K-LOVE this weekend.’ K-LOVE is a network of listener-supported, Christian music stations across the country. Based in California, K-LOVE is a supporter of McDowell, who is an outspoken Christian. ‘I think we ‘re very capable of having a great night on Saturday, but our weekend really starts on Thursday night,’ said McDowell. ‘We will be qualifying Thursday night and we need to put in a fast lap to secure our starting spot. Gene Nead and the boys have built me a fast Ford Fusion and feel confident that we can put up a fast time. The goal on Saturday night is to show everyone what this small PPR team is capable of. I don ‘t think we have the resources to contend for wins, but competing in the top-20 is achievable for us and this K-LOVE team. We ‘re the underdog, but we enjoy that role. We love surprising people and hopefully we can do that this weekend.’(Breaking Limits)(10-10-2012)
