Justin Allgaier will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut on Sunday in the GEICO 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Allgaier will drive the #51 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevy SS for Phoenix Racing, in what is also the teams debut race under the ownership of Harry Scott Jr. Scott, a South Carolina businessman and co-owner of Turner Scott Motorsports, purchased Phoenix Racing from James Finch earlier this month. Allgaier, 27, is a native of Riverton, Ill, and drives for TSM in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. Allgaiers current NNS sponsor BRANDT will be the primary sponsor on the #51 Chevy this weekend at Chicagoland. BRANDT will also sponsor the #51 car at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway, with Allgaier behind the wheel for both races. ‘Making my first start in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series is a dream come true’ said Allgaier. ‘Ive been working towards this goal for 22 years, and I am so excited that its finally time to make it happen. Its made even more special since its my home track and that Im racing for Harry Scott Jr. with the support of BRANDT. The people at BRANDT have become family to me and I intend to make them very proud.”(Tuckahoe Strategies)
