In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon has personally committed to matching all funds raised “ up to $100,000 “ through JGCF Kick-It events held during the month of September. Kick-It, a program and partner of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation, is a national volunteer driven effort focused solely on raising money for children’s cancer research through kick-ball games and peer-to-peer fundraising events. Participants use their network to raise funds and events have been held in schools, stadiums, backyards and parks all over the country and as far away as Australia. Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation will host the 3nd Annual Charlotte Kicks-It kickball tournament at CMC-NorthEast Stadium, home of the Kannapolis Intimidators, on Sunday September 13th from 3:00-8:00pm. Lowe’s, dedicated to improving the communities they serve, will be supporting the event as a Field Sponsor.
