Utah driver Michael Self is scheduled to make his debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Saturday at Iowa Speedway in a Chevy entered by JD Motorsports with Gary Keller. Self, a six-time winner in the K&N Pro Series West, will drive the JD Motorsports #01 Nebraska Transport Company Chevy as a fill-in for regular driver Landon Cassill in Saturday’s U.S. Cellular 250 at Newton, Iowa. Self also is scheduled to drive in several other races for the Gaffney, S.C. based team this Xfinity season. Self won three times in the K&N West series in 2012 and scored three more wins in 2013. He finished fourth in points in 2013. Included in his K&N experience are six races at Iowa, where he has two wins, four top fives and five top 10s. Nebraska Transport Company joins Self, making their sponsorship debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this weekend at Iowa Speedway.
