JR Motorsports and the No. 8 team are mixing things up this weekend at Iowa Speedway. La Paz Cocktail Mix, a producer of superior quality cocktail mixers, will be featured as primary partner of Zane Smith’s No. 8 Chevrolet during the NASCAR Xfinity Series event on June 16.
The California-based company, which has associate placement in Smith’s 2019 races, was founded by Larry Casey. It began with only three employees and seven mixes in the early 1970s and has since expanded to sell more than 60 different high-quality products in Orange County.
La Paz Cocktail Mix has been an avid supporter of Smith throughout his racing career, being a primary partner during his ARCA Menards Series days, including each of Smith’s four series victories.
“It’s great to have La Paz Cocktail Mix as primary partner with us this weekend,” said Smith. “They’ve been with me for so long, and I take a lot of pride in having the support of a hometown company. I know we will have a solid run with them at Iowa Speedway. We’ve had some strong performances in the No. 8 this season, and I’m looking forward to bringing this La Paz Cocktail Mix Chevrolet to the front on Sunday.”
Iowa Speedway stands as Smith’s fifth race for JRM this season. In four previous starts, he has two top-10 finishes for the organization. The No. 8 team and its contingent of drivers has earned two top-five and 10 top-10 finishes to date.
The No. 8 La Paz Chevrolet will be on track at Iowa Speedway for the Iowa 250 on Sunday, June 16, at 5 p.m. EST on FOX Sports 1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
