- 1000th start for Stewart-Haas: Stewart-Haas Racing is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2018 and will mark its 1,000th Cup Series start when all four drivers fire-up their Roush-Yates powered Fords for the April 8 race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. Since its first season in 2009, the SHR driver lineup has at one time included Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola, Ryan Newman and Danica Patrick on a full-time basis while drivers like Mark Martin, Jeff Burton, Brian Vickers, Regan Smith, Ty Dillon, Austin Dillon and Max Papis have served as substitute drivers. - Tony Mrakovich to Make Xfinity Debut at Bristol with JGL Racing:Tony Mrakovich and Extreme Energy Solutions (EES) have teamed up with JGL Racing to run back-to-back NASCAR Xfinity Series events, beginning with the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 14. Just one year after making his successful stock car debut in the ARCA Racing Series at the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Mrakovich will reach a new milestone when he pilots the No. 28 Ford Mustang in his maiden NASCAR’s Xfinity Series race.[More](4-5-2018)
- Garrett Smithley gets Texas sponsors: After a two week break in the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule, Garrett Smithley is eager to head to Texas Motor Speedway for the My Bariatric Solutions 300 with new, multi-race sponsor FAME making its on-track debut. - Randy Houser in concert prior to Overton’s 400 at Chicago:Chicagoland Speedway announced today that country music star Randy Houser will perform before the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Overton’s 400 on Sunday, July 1. The Overton’s 400 pre-race concert is presented by New Country, Chicago’s BIG 95.5. Born and raised in Lake, Mississippi, Houser formed his own band at the age of 10, and eventually moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music.
