- #31 team appeal to be heard April 16: David Higdon, Vice President, Integrated Marketing Communications for NASCAR tweeted Tuesday afternoon that the “National Motorsports Appeals Panel will hear RCR appeal of #31 team P5 penalty on April 16. - Joey Gase to drive #32 at Richmond: Go FAS Racing announces that 22 year old, Iowa Native, Joey Gase will make his NASCAR Sprint Cup Series debut for the 2015 season at Richmond International Raceway in the #32 Donate Life Virginia/Corvetteparts.net Ford. Gase made four starts last year for Go FAS Racing in the Cup series with a best finish of 33rd at Phoenix International Raceway. “Donate Life Virginia will be teaming up with us not only in the NASCAR Xfinity Series here in Richmond, but also in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. This will be the first time we have ever had Donate Life on the car for both series in the same weekend,” Gase said. “April is national ‘Donate Life’ month and to end Donate Life month strong and to really push the awareness for donation to the next level is very important to me. - Pit Crew penalties through six races: So far this year there have been 45 penalties called on pit crews that are directly a result of bad pitting. [Pit Talks] took out all the penalties that didn’t involve the pit crews but are still issued. What we wanted to see was how the pit crews were doing and what penalties were being called the most. Here is what we found: The most called penalty is the TIRE NOT IN CONTROL OUTSIDE HALF OF BOX, it has been called 23 times resulting in 51% of the penalties on pit crews. The second most penalized called is OVER THE WALL TO SOON, it has been called 16 times resulting in 35% of the penalties. The last three penalties are as follows: TOSSING FUEL CANS 3 times at 7%, ROLLING TIRES BEYOND CENTER LINE 2 times at 5%, and last is EQUIPMENT OUTSIDE OF THE BOX 1 resulting in 2%.(PitTalks)(4-7-2015)

- Safety-Kleen sponsoring Buescher at Texas: Chris Buescher makes his fourth NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Texas Motor Speedway on Friday. In his previous three starts, Buescher’s best finish is 13th, which came last fall. The #60 Ford Mustang carries the Safety-Kleen colors this weekend in Texas. Safety-Kleen is a leading provider of environmental services to commercial, industrial and automotive customers. - 350th start for Bliss: Now that two off weekends are in the rear-view, Mike Bliss plans to put another “notch” in his NASCAR belt. Over the past 20-years Bliss has racked up 725 starts across NASCAR’s three premier series’. Earning one Championship, 15 wins, 91 top-five, 192 top-10 finishes, the driver coined “the Hammer” has seen it all. This weekend’s event, the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, will turn another milestone for Bliss. The NASCAR XFINITY Series event will mark start number 350 for Bliss in the series. He has 19 previous starts; 40 overall, at the 1.5-mile speedway. - Hawg Heaven Queso Wing to debut at Texas: Texas Motor Speedway and Levy Restaurants are bringing home the bacon once again to its fans. The next generation of the highly successful Hawg Heaven line – the Hawg Heaven Queso Wing – will make its debut at the Duck Commander 500 NASCAR doubleheader weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. The Hawg Heaven Queso Wing is an oversized chicken drummette that is French cut, doused in a bacon queso sauce and then topped with a mixture of crumbled Doritos and bacon bits. An order includes four wings, which is just under one pound of chicken. The item will sell for $12 and only be available at the concession stand on the concourse inside the Gate 4 main grandstand entrance. The Hawg Heaven concession line began in 2013 with the Hawg Heaven Bacon Cotton Candy and has featured the Shake ‘n Bacon Brew bacon-infused beer milkshake and most recently Hawg Heaven Bacon Nachos. The legendary pro-wrestler, former NFL football player, TV host and automobile aficionado will emcee Bristol’s unique driver introductions. Bristol Motor Speedway is a venue like no other and each year the stars of NASCAR march to their own beat into the Last Great Colosseum.
