- NASCAR looking for ways to prevent airborne crashes: On Tuesday, however, NASCAR was searching for ways to slow cars down at Daytona International Speedway. - Martins Motorsports Returns to NASCAR XFINITY Series: Martins Motorsports will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Bristol Motor Speedway in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 on April 22nd with driver Tommy Joe Martins & sponsorship from long time partner Diamond Gusset Jeans. Bristol will be the first of a 9-race Xfinity schedule for the newly minted #45 team. The team plans to compete at the Spring & Fall events at Bristol, Dover, & Richmond, as well as Chicagoland, Kansas, & Indianapolis. - Dover Speedway to host International Drone Racing Series’ USA Race from 2017-19: The International Drone Racing Association (IDRA) has announced a new partnership with Dover International Speedway. The IDRA will hold its USA event at the track famously known as “The Monster Mile” June 2-4, 2017, in conjunction with Dover’s NASCAR tripleheader race weekend. - Richmond to host Smithfield PWBA Tour Championship: The season finale of the Professional Women’s Bowling Association (PWBA) Tour will take place at Richmond International Raceway (Richmond) in Richmond, Virginia, during the track’s fall NASCAR race week festivities. Richmond-based QubicaAMF will install bowling lanes for the event as part of its new sponsorship of the PWBA. The Smithfield PWBA Tour Championship is set for September 3-6 in the Old Dominion Building at the Richmond Raceway Complex.[More](4-14-2017)
