- 2nd Morgan McClure car? #4 Kodak Chevy owner Larry McClure says he hopes to have a second car in place by the July Daytona race. McClure feels they are close to putting it together but it has to be all the way before it happens. As for a driver, McClure — who owns the team for Bobby Hamilton — said, “Who knows, Bobby (Hamilton) Jr. ran real good (in Saturday’s BGN race at Talladega), I might put him in the car.”(Roanoke Times) Also Loy Aleen has recently tested for the team(4-19-2000)
- Melling Gets A Dyno: Melling Racing, who field’s the #9 Cougar/Kodiak Ford, new chassis dyno arrived last week. The team built an addition to the shop since the start of the season to accommodate the dyno. The dyno should be operational within a few weeks(Melling PR)(4-19-2000)
