- Heard back from Thorn Apple Valley and they assure me that Greg Sacks will return as the driver of the #98 Ford.(TAVI)(4-19-98)
- TNN’s Raceday reports that Greg Sacks may miss the Talladega race also. No sub mentioned but Rich Bickle will probably sub if Sacks has not recovered from his Texas injuries. Sources continue to tell me Sacks is on the hot seat, but he’ll probably get a chance to return from his injuries and run a few more races.(4-19-98)
- “Are Bruton Smith and Tony George planning a separate stock-car series? Smith strongly denies that. However, there are reports that Smith and George do have something up their sleeves and could have a major announcement at one of their IRL events later this season. - The Goody’s Headache Powders 500 has been postponed because of rain until Monday, April 20th at 11am/et to be shown on ESPN. It is supposed to rain so hard that NASCAR told the teams to put the cars back on the haulers instead of leaving them out on pit road as Martinsville has no garages in the infield.(NASCAR2Day)(4-19-98)
