Germain Racing wins both eNASCAR Heat Pro League races at Mid-Ohio

For the first time in team history, Germain Gaming swept an eNASCAR Heat Pro League event by capturing wins in both the Xbox and PlayStation 4 races at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Drivers took the virtual road course Thursday night for the opening race of Segment 2 – a new addition to the league for 2020 which sees the schedule broken up into four-race segments and offers drivers a shot at securing their spot in the season finale in late July. All drivers entered the race with 0 points following a reset.

The event kicked off with a 20-lap feature for the Xbox division, but there was little doubt in who would eventually visit Victory Lane. Daniel Buttafuoco led every lap from the drop of the green en route to a 26.392 margin of victory over Roush Fenway Gaming’s Nick Walker. Luis Zaiter rounded out the podium for Chip Ganassi Gaming followed by Stewart-Haas eSports’ Matthew Selby and Team Penske eSports’ Brian Tedeschi.

The PlayStation 4 drivers took to the track next and delivered with another thrilling conclusion between Kyle Arnold and Maxwell Castro, the two competitors who squared off for the victory at Watkins Glen International. This time around, it was Arnold getting redemption and completing the sweep for Germain Gaming.

The eNASCAR Heat Pro League returns to action next Thursday night at 8 PM ET for Round 6 at Talladega Superspeedway.
