Hattori Racing Enterprises Parting Ways with Chase Purdy After 2022 Season

In a statement posted on Twitter, Hattori Racing Enterprises announced Chase Purdy won’t return to the team for the 2023 season.

“We are appreciative to Chase for his efforts and contributions in helping establish a second team and earning career-high statistics this season,” the team said, “HRE intends to continue fielding two full-time teams in 2023 and is the process of solidifying the next driver of the No. 61 Toyota TRD Pro.”

Through 21 races this season, Purdy has a pair of top-10 finishes, with a best effort of seventh in the series’ last race at Talladega.
