Chipotle signs deal with Ryan Blaney

Chipotle has gotten into NASCAR for the first time through an endorsement deal with driver Ryan Blaney and a track agreement with the site of this weekend’s action, Atlanta Motor Speedway.

On Monday, the Team Penske driver posted a video on his social media accounts of him at a Chipotle doing a “Speed Round” Q&A, while tagging Chipotle and using the hashtag #chipotlepartner. The California-based fast casual chain then added “Ryan Blaney’s Chicken and Steak Burrito Bowl” as an option on the Featured section of its digital app and Chipotle.com. The spicy bowl costs $15.55 and the ingredients are brown rice, black beans, ½ a portion of chicken, ½ a portion of steak, red chili salsa, queso, shredded cheese and guacamole.

Terms of the deal are unclear, including whether it’s a one-off, but Chipotle is working with Blaney as part of its Real Food for Real Athletes sponsorship program. Blaney is represented by Sports Management Network.
