Today, NASCAR announced that Ricky Muñoz, singer and co-founder of the legendary Regional Mexican band Intocable, will serve as an honorary event official for the 2025 NASCAR Chicago Street Race Weekend, taking place July 5-6, 2025.
Muñoz, whose band Intocable has earned multiple GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Awards and is considered one of the most influential Regional Mexican groups today, will participate in pre-race ceremonies for the third installment of NASCAR’s street race through downtown Chicago’s Grant Park.
“As the excitement ramps up for this weekend, we can’t wait to have Ricky join us as an honorary event official this Independence Day Weekend,” said Julie Giese, President of Chicago Street Race. “Intocable’s incredible musical legacy and their deep connection to the community makes Ricky the perfect addition to the NASCAR Chicago Street Race weekend.”
For over three decades, Intocable has revolutionized Latin music, blending Tejano, Norteño, pop, rock, and cumbia into a groundbreaking sound that has inspired generations. With over 55 million albums sold, and multiple GRAMMYs and Latin GRAMMYs wins, they are true icons of Mexican-American music.
“I’m honored to make a stop on my anniversary “Antologia” 2025 tour to be part of the NASCAR Chicago Street Race,” said Muñoz. “Chicago has always been special to Intocable and our fans, so I’m excited to experience the energy of NASCAR in one of America’s greatest cities.”
As an honorary event official, Muñoz will participate in various pre-race activities and ceremonies throughout the weekend, helping to kick off what promises to be another unforgettable chapter in the NASCAR Chicago Street Race story. After Muñoz’s stop at the NASCAR Chicago Street Race, Intocable will visit 18 cities across the U.S. with their acclaimed Antologia Tour, including stops in Atlanta, Memphis, San Diego, San Jose, Las Vegas, Houston and Anaheim, among others.
The NASCAR Chicago Street Race – which was named “Sports Event of the Year” by Sports Business Journal – previously announced new ticket options, along with reduced prices throughout the footprint, and a shorter overall build schedule. Guests will also enjoy significantly lower price points on Grounds Pass tickets and reserved seating (which now includes a new single-day option as well). Single-day Grounds Pass tickets start at $123.08 including ALL taxes and fees (35% less than last year), and Frontstretch Premier Grandstands Reserved seats are available at nearly a 50% reduction from 2024 prices.
