Rick Ware Racing has partnered with Museum of the Bible, with the non-denominational museum in Washington, D.C., featured on the team’s NASCAR Cup Series and NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series entries this weekend.
Cody Ware will drive the No. 51 Museum of the Bible Chevrolet in the NASCAR All-Star Race Sunday at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway, and Clay Millican will carry Museum of the Bible on his No. 51 Parts Plus Top Fuel dragster Friday-Sunday during the Route 66 NHRA Nationals at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois.
“Our motorsports platform gives us an opportunity to reach a lot of people, and partnering with Museum of the Bible allows us to share something that’s important to our family – our faith,” said team owner Rick Ware. “Museum of the Bible does an incredible job of making history engaging and accessible, and if we can help introduce it to a younger audience and encourage people to experience it for themselves, that’s meaningful to us.”
Encompassing 430,000 square feet, Museum of the Bible is among the most technologically advanced and engaging museums in the world, showcasing rare and fascinating artifacts spanning 4,000 years of history. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit is located just three blocks south of the U.S. Capitol and within walking distance to the National Mall. Since its opening in 2017, the museum has offered visitors an immersive and personalized experience with the Bible and its ongoing impact on the world.
“Museum of the Bible exists to invite people to explore the Bible and its contributions to history, culture and the world around us,” said Dr. Aaron Ross, chief operating officer, Museum of the Bible. “Partnering with Rick Ware Racing helps us connect with a broad audience and raises awareness among people who may have never considered visiting. We want younger generations to see that learning about the Bible’s impact on history and culture can be both meaningful and engaging.”
Spanning six floors, Museum of the Bible presents a diverse collection of more than 1,150 permanent items and thousands more on loan. Its exhibits blend historical artifacts, interactive technology and scholarly presentations, providing an experience that appeals to international tourists and local visitors alike. From rare biblical manuscripts to virtual reality tours of ancient sites, Museum of the Bible aims to educate without proselytizing, allowing guests to engage with the Bible’s profound influence on world culture.
Soon, Museum of the Bible will have a 3,400-pound addition to its collection – an authentic NASCAR Cup Series stock car emulating the No. 51 Museum of the Bible Chevrolet Cody Ware will race at Dover.
“Sometimes people hear ‘museum’ and think it’s something traditional or static, but Museum of the Bible is incredibly interactive and engaging,” Dr. Ross added. “Working with Rick Ware Racing helps us reach people who may not know what we offer and hopefully sparks interest in coming to see it for themselves.”
Beyond amplifying Museum of the Bible’s mission and donating a showcar, Rick Ware is providing tangible support to help further the museum’s educational efforts.
“We wanted this partnership to go beyond what people see on the racetrack,” Rick Ware said. “Our family is committed to producing die-cast replicas of the Museum of the Bible car and apparel tied to this program, with proceeds helping Museum of the Bible distribute Books of John to people around the world, free of charge. It’s a way for us to use racing to support something that can have a lasting impact.”
