Bubba Wallace streaks to convincing NASCAR Cup victory at Kansas Speedway: Driving the same car number that carried teammate Kurt Busch to victory in the May race at Kansas Speedway, Bubba Wallace claimed a dramatic win at the same track in Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400, the second event in the first round of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. #45-Bubba Wallace won the Hollywood Casino 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 1st at Kansas Speedway and 2nd career win.
#11-Hamlin finished 2nd followed by #20-Bell, #48-Bowman, #19-Truex, Jr., #24-Byron, #1-Chastain, #5-Larson, #12-Blaney, and #99-Suarez.
Wallace took the lead from #48-Bowman with 67 laps remaining, retook the lead following final green flag pit stops and held off a late charge by Hamlin and Bell to grab the win.  His victory locks the #45 team into the Round of 12 for the Owners Championship playoffs.
Playoff drivers having problems on the day:
#4-Harvick got into the outside wall on lap 33 and broke the suspension on the car.  He could not continue and finished 36th.
On lap 66, pole winner #8-Reddick blew a tire and hit the outside wall. The team could not repair the car.  He finished 35th.
#18-Kyle Busch spun off turn four on lap 138 and spun through the grass. He lost a lap, got it back, but fell off the lead lap again later in the race.  He finished 26th.
Stage 1 was won by #20-Bell. Stage 2 was won by #48-Bowman.
There were 16 lead changes among 12 drivers and 9 cautions for 43 yellow flag laps.
