#24-William Byron won the United Rentals 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway. The win is his 2nd win of the year, 1st at Phoenix and 6th career win.
#12-Blaney finished 2nd followed by #45-Reddick, pole winner #5-Larson, #4-Harvick, #20-Bell #14-Briscoe, #8-Busch, #48-Bowman, and #9-Berry.
#4-Harvick was dominating late in the race, leading #5-Larson by 5 seconds with 10 laps remaining when #21-Burton spun on the frontstretch bringing out the caution. Everyone pitted and Larson won the race off pit road with #24-Byron second.
The caution came back out with 2 to go forcing an overtime finish. Larson restarted as the leader but was passed by Byron, who pulled away to win by .3 second.
