Not much was mentioned of this and I noticed in Henry’s StockCarFans Ramblings this morning: Seven years ago this weekend we lost independent driver JD McDuffie at Watkins Glen. He never won a Cup race but always made the field in his own car(#70 Pontiac not Chevy) with his own team with little sponsorship. I have an image of him on my Driver Tribute Page and I thought it’d be nice to mention him today. Thanks Henry and thanks JD. (08-08-1998)
