Jay Smith has been named the crew chief of the #34 Goulds Pumps Chevy driven by Mike McLaughlin in the BGN. Steve ‘Big Guy’ Helwig and John Birosh handled the duties for the 2nd half of the 1998 season. Birosh left the team a while back and Helwig goes back to his old job of Car Chief(NASCAR Online)(12-11-98)
