The #64 Shoemaker team will NOT be at Nazareth this weekend. However, Joe Bessey will be driving the #64 Power Team Chevy at Nazareth. Why? The #64 team needs time to get caught up on building cars. Currently the crew is working on building three brand new cars. One for Charlotte, Dover and a ?????drop-snout???? car. The team has worked out an arrangement with Joe Bessey for him to drive his team car with the number 64 on it. This will help Shoemaker stay in the points battle and it gives Bessey a second opportunity should bad weather, which right now is a considerable issue, hinder his qualifying efforts.
