Jay Sauter is in his fourth season with RCR, but the 2000 season remains a mystery at this point. RCR’s sponsorship deal with GM Goodwrench Service expires after this season. Actually, it expired last year and GM Goodwrench decided to do one more year but they will not sponsor any truck team in 2000 The 37-year-old son of former Winston Cup driver Jim Sauter has one year remaining on his original four-year contract with RCR. Sauter would certainly welcome a jump to Busch or Winston Cup, but at this point he is happy running the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
