Kidney Stones:

A kidney stone sidelined Mark Martin’s front tire changer, Robert Benfield, and changed the team’s strategy throughout the race. Martin, who finished seventh, was caught exceeding the 55 mph speed limit on pit road after his first pit stop and restarted 37th. Martin said he sped as he tried to make up for a slower pit stop with a different tire changer. Martin was one of a handful of teams that took only two tires on the final pit stop. Martin was second on the final restart on lap 167 but could not keep up with cars that took four tires( News and Record )
