Members of the #31 Lowe’s Chevy team for driver Mike Skinner will compete in a special Micro Sprint Car race Saturday night in New Castle, DE. RCR’s #31 team manager David Smith and catch-can man Gary Gafgen will battle four Cup in the 10-lap race at Airport Speedway . The event is scheduled in conjunction with the MBNA Gold 400. Also scheduled to participate are RCR’s #3 crew chief Kevin Hamlin, head engine builder Danny Lawrence and two members of Rusty Wallace’s team. The men will be available to sign autographs and chat with fans. The crewmembers will drive Micro Sprint Cars owned by teams who regularly race at the one-eighth-mile Airport Speedway. The Cup feature race will take place between Micro Sprint qualifying and race time. Qualifying begins at 6pm/et.
