John Menard, who hinted early in the summer he was interested in NASCAR racing, may be for real and in concert with mercurial open-wheel star Robby Gordon. More than one top crewman in the garage here said Saturday that they have heard from representatives for a Menard-Gordon combo, apparently attempting to assemble a Winston Cup group. Menards IRL ace Greg Ray has also been mentioned as a possible stock car driver for the new team( Racer Magazine Notes ), Menard will be starting a CTS team with driver Bryan Reffner
