The #55 Davis & Weight Motorsports team will be testing the un-sponsored Florida Gators Monte Carlo with driver Michael Ritch at Memphis on Oct 12th and 13th and Rockingham Oct 14th in preparation for those BGN races. The Davis & Weight crew chief Skip Eyler worked feverishly these past few weeks preparing a competitive race car for driver Ritch. Eyler and the team started from the ground up reevaluating the race cars and the motor program. Also former driver Brandon Sperling, who for the past four seasons has been a consistent front runner in the ASA series, is currently seeking a full time ride in the BGN series. Brandon most recently qualified and finished the fall Bristol race in the #55 Florida Gators Pontiac and represented McDonald’s during this years ASA season in the #40 Crookston Motorsports Chevy(Davis & Weight Motorsports PR)(10-12-1999)
