The Marsh Racing/Whelen BGN team will be running with the #84 at Homestead with Steve Park at the helm because Dale Earnhardt Jr. has #3 and Ron Hornaday will be using the #31 for Homestead. The team expects to use the #31 next season with Hornaday using the #3 next season. The #84 is a number Park is familiar with as he used it in his early Modified races. Also Whelen is dedicating the Homestead race effort to a 10 year Whelen employee who is fighting a difficult battle with cancer. Everett Niles will have his dream realized the team puts ‘Racing for Everett Niles’ on the full C-Post of the Marsh Racing Whelen #84 at Homestead. Everett’s fellow employees at Whelen are the real sponsors of the Whelen car and they want Everett to know that they care about him(11-4-1999)
