RPM2Nite reported that Adam Petty will run five Cup races in 2000 starting at Texas. NASCAR Online shows the #45 Sprint Chevy, not sure what the deal is with #45 which Tyler Jet Motorsports presently uses, also would think he’d run a Pontiac since Petty Enterprises uses Pontiac for Cup and Chevy for BGN. The car shown in the pictures at NOL and the Adam Petty site is a BGN car(note, the BGN sticker on the front 1/4 panel). Kyle Petty answered lots of questions at a short Hot Wheels promotional autograph session. 1) What make of car will Adam run the 5 Winston Cup races in 2000? Kyle’s answer was that they would most likely be Pontiacs since they already have Pontiac cup cars in their shops. 2) What number will Adam run in Cup since the 45 is on another car this year?
