Missing Kids: Beginning at Darlington, with every mile their transporter rolls Matrix Racing is spreading the word about a pair of missing girls. Matrix is co-owned by Kevin Lepage and Steve Plattenberger and fields Lepage’s Red Man and State Fair Corn Dogs cars in the BGN. Promoting public awareness of the plight of missing children has long been a pet project of team co-owner Plattenberger, who first contacted the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons several years ago. This year, after the announcement that Lepage was going to be sponsored by State Fair Brand Corn Dogs in several races late in the season, Plattenberger again contacted the Center, looking for a new case to publicize. As a result of this contact, the images of two sisters, ages six and eight, were placed on the rear liftgate of Matrix Racing’s hauler Wednesday morning before the trek to Darlington.
