Willy T. Ribbs, Bill Lester and Tim Woods are the three finalists competing for a driving job with Hamilton’s CTS team. The driver who gets the job will be the only black racer competing full-time in any of NASCAR’s top divisions. Hughes said a decision on the new driver is expected by the end of the week. The driver will become a partner of Joe Ruttman, who will drive another truck fielded by Hamilton. Ribbs, Lester and Woods have test-driven Hamilton’s trucks in recent weeks.
