Marcis Plans: #71-Dave Marcis, who’ll cut back to a partial schedule and do more testing, says Daytona, Talladega and Darlington are on his schedule for sure and Indianapolis and the new Chicago race are probable. “We’re probably going to do 10 or 12 events and hope that we can be more competitive like we were at Talladega last fall,” Marcis said, referring to the Alabama superspeedway where he qualified ninth and raced competitively until an engine failure. “We worked hard on that car after we missed a race with it in July until we went to Talladega in October and it showed that the car had a lot of time and effort put into it.”(Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)(1-12-2001)
